The one thing we all
know about fire is that blue is hotter than red. But when we see hot
molten lava we always see warmer colours of red, orange and yellow....we
usually do not see anything burning in blue flames near a volcano.
But the Kawah Ijen Volcano in Indonesia emits hot flammable sulphurous gases that ignite with a electric blue flame when they come in contact with earths oxygen rich air.
They are quite a sight in the darkness of the night. Right next to this volcano is a turquoise-blue lake that is very acidic due to the high concentration of dissolved metals in its waters.Nature giving us every reason to believe things can be different then what we believe them to be.
