A lake that looks like
someone poured gallons of strawberry milk into one huge hole in the
ground. Lake Hillier stands in Western Australia at 600 meters in
length. One might wonder if there is something wrong in the waters of
this lake but life does flourish in these pink waters.
Scientists have suspected that the unique colour could be due to the reaction between the salt and the presence of the Dunaliella Salina Microalga, which is a pigment found in carrots too. There doesn't seem to be anything harmful in these waters and it is used as a tourist attraction.
