Poetry

AUGUST 20, 2016
It was the night, When the moon had the light, Enough for me to write, About love at first sight, So intense, it gave me a fright.

Keeping Journals

AUGUST 20, 2016
I remember having kept a journal ( a diary ) since I was 13 years of age. Like a few hobbies that I have since then left.....this is one of the few that persevered. Sure..I don't write in everyday...it's only when I come across a moment in life where I think "I'd like to not forget this."...since I am very forgetful.

I've always noticed a feeling of relief...or satisfaction washing over me after I've written down what I needed to. Obviously that makes it one of my most prized and private possessions. For some reason I seldom come across someone who still write journals these days. Not one person in my group of friends does. But it is nice to be able to see our personal growth when we sit to read through all our old journals.

It feels like putting pen to paper is becoming rare with all the technology and apps available to us nowadays. This is a habit I don't think I'll get over.

Dating Sites?

AUGUST 17, 2016
I am a very indoor person...I've only ever been in one relationship...which was really just a fling. Over the years I have thought about meeting someone new, like ...i don't even know how many times. Obviously, I tried some dating sites and could never stand it enough to actually finding someone. With every new person that messages you, we have to repeat all the basic details over and over again. I found it so tedious that I just thought "I'd rather be by myself then have to endure this."

So it's been a while since I've just let go of the process of "finding someone". ...and over time...I've grown alright with being by myself.

There is more scope... i feel .. in the old fashioned way. There is something in the normal way to meet someone that we just can't do online.
Personally I think I read people better when I meet them in person.. online I'm just a sceptical and suspicious mess.
Have you ever joined a dating site? Any success stories? ....or anything particular you remember from being on there?

Henna/ Mehendi

AUGUST 16, 2016
Many of you might already be aware of it. Henna also called Mehendi, in India, is a dye but you could think of it as a temporary tattoo. Technically, its been used in celebration since the Bronze Age but has gained popularity in the past few decades. Women in India use it to beautify the hands and feet on various auspicious occasions. So when we see someones hands with henna designs, we know they are celebrating something. White henna also seems to be a new trend that has been circulating.  Though I prefer the traditional ones. Having applied them since childhood...i find their colour to be better than white henna.
Have you ever tried having henna applied to your hands? Or done it yourself? Do you find it pretty?

AUGUST 15, 2016

"The strength of the wolf is with it's pack." As poetic as the concept and thought of the 'lone wolf' might be, its power is greatest when it is among its own kind. Very similar to the human concept of unity. Nothing makes us feel stronger than knowing that someone is on our flank, someones got our back.

Contact Lenses - Dry Eyes

AUGUST 14, 2016
So this is just information that I'm putting out there, for anyone who wears contact lenses everyday....don't. Wearing them all day, everyday prevents our eyes from getting direct oxygen. It ....like everything alive, needs to breath. My doctor suggested to wear eye glasses too. Alternate them between days if you can. We might not feel the effects now, when we are young. But it will have long-term impacts. Take Care. Be safe.

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

From the time when I had just read the Potter Play that was freshly released to the people in the form of a printed book.

13th Aug. 2016
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is about the children of the famous families (Potter, Malfoy, etc). About how their father's reputations impact their lives and what they try to do to fix it. Only, the children end up making it worse by attempting to meddle in something they didn't know about. Obviously, the parents get involved and things get fixed, relationships get mended...though they do try to show how the fault is never of just one person....everything is ...interlinked you see..

I have read disappointing reviews too. But I read it and it's not all bad. Some cliches...sure... but a few parts surprised me. Even as a play, it's a good read for fans of the series. In fact, I felt the dialogue of the book moved the story along... and made it a good read.

The transfer of valuable words

I just had a thought a while ago...when I was browsing through my past posts on one of the sites I write on. The amount of work I do to write there... I should be investing here...on my own page.
Articles I have written, should me under my own name at one nice convenient digital location.

So here is what is going to happen... today there is going to be a flood of posts here. All of me transferring  my work and taking it off the other site.

Don't know if there is a limit for posts on Blogger in one day....but I guess we shall find out.

So here goes.

Lets Write

So I am having one of those days where there is nothing for me to do and luckily, I feel like writing. I will probably spend my day on a blogging site. But since mine currently gets close to 'no views' ... it makes me feel more comfortable somehow ....to write without overthinking it.

Since its always weeks in between my posts here, there are things that happen that make me forget to blog. I think that's a good thing... to have things happening in ones life that makes them forget to share it on social sites. That's just means we are fully enjoying the moment we are in.

As it is, social networking sites are getting kinda boring and monotonous these days. Filled with so much unnecessary detail. I have totally abandoned Twitter, almost abandoned Facebook... but Instagram is proving to be a sightly more difficult addiction to cut.
I'll get there...

Climate of the world is all rains and storms. Hope everyone is taking care.

Since I have started working online my creative side seems to be taking a hit. Any creative person will understand how unfulfilling that feels.
Still I know I have a blessed life and shouldn't be complaining. I definitely do not want to fall into the category of people having 'First world problems in a third world country'.
There is always a way and I just need to figure it out.

Lets leave it at that for now.
Love to my few readers <3

It's Been A While

It sure has been a while since i blogged on this site. Been occupied with other things I guess.

The last time I was here I was attempting to make and sell my craft work. Unfortunately....or fortunately...that didn't quite work out. I kept trying to make it work...but it just wasn't.

So I thought, maybe its time I tried something else.

And I did. I started looking for writing or other online jobs. I must say it isn't easy to find legit online jobs that are worth our time. I found several PTC (paid to click) sites. Many data entry jobs that really do not happen. Many sites that were good but were exclusive to the U.S.

But still i stuck with some that looked ok....all the while searching for something better. I did eventually find some that I liked but even there...work is not constant.
It sure is difficult to be a freelancer. It has it's pro's and con's like everything else.

I still love my art and do wish to get back to it when life is more financially stable. We all have other responsibilities in life that we need to live up to...besides pursuing our passion. All about priorities right?

Anyway, I do plan to blog at least once a week. To try get back into it. I do write on other sites now, so blogging shouldn't be a problem.

Till Later. :D
