Henna/ Mehendi

AUGUST 16, 2016
Many of you might already be aware of it. Henna also called Mehendi, in India, is a dye but you could think of it as a temporary tattoo. Technically, its been used in celebration since the Bronze Age but has gained popularity in the past few decades. Women in India use it to beautify the hands and feet on various auspicious occasions. So when we see someones hands with henna designs, we know they are celebrating something. White henna also seems to be a new trend that has been circulating.  Though I prefer the traditional ones. Having applied them since childhood...i find their colour to be better than white henna.
Have you ever tried having henna applied to your hands? Or done it yourself? Do you find it pretty?
