Have you noticed?

Have you noticed the ' lol ' acronym looks like someone is drowning...?
Some people have also pointed out to me that it also looks like :
- Someone cheering in a crowd.
- Someone praising god.
- Someone surrendering.

But it always looks like drowning to me... is that too dark? eeek!

Escape Room

Have you guys heard of it ? or tried one out? Escape Room is a mystery game that people pay to participate in. It is a actual room that is set up as a dungeon or a crime scene. People enter the room in groups. The room has clues hidden around in it and to be able to escape the room you have to solve the puzzles using the clues you find. It is sometimes used as a team building exercise. I have only ever heard of ones that last for 1 or 2 hours. This concept seems to gaining popularity as a recreational game for adults to play.

Should injustice be answered with justice or mercy?

Injustice can occur in many forms nowadays. It ranges from the extreme cases of victims of murder, assault and rape, to the cases of theft and biases. I assume those who go by law might chose to fix this by justice and those with faith and belief (in the good of people) might chose to deal with the problem with mercy. They say mercy is taking the "higher road"....but how many of us are actually capable of it? As much as I would like to think I am capable of mercy, when I feel like I am being treated unjustly, all I want to do and work towards, is getting my share of justice. I'm sure we all face unforgiving moments in life. Maybe such moments define us...as a person. When it comes down to it...when we are the ones to decide and face the consequences of that decision. What do we chose?

36 Questions that make you fall in love?

Have you guys come across this article? It is over a year old ...so chances are you might have. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/11/fashion/no-37-big-wedding-or-small.html It is a series of 36 questions that claim to make the two people involved in it fall in love with each other. They ask the questions to each other and apparently that would build something between them. I don't think this could work on me. Though I would like to give it a try for experiment purposes. Have you seen the questions? Would this work on you? Finding love in answers?

Blue Dot in the Sky

AUGUST 31, 2016
I was watching the Cosmos series again and got the feeling I get every time I watch something like this. Cosmos is a science documentary series. It talks about evolution, light, atoms, elements, atmosphere and other worlds. Every time I see it, I am amazed at how much it took to make the worlds and at the same time...it's vastness makes me feel quite insignificant. We are like tinier than atoms when we see our-selfs in relation to the whole galaxy. The planet Earth is just a blue dot in the sky when we zoom out into the vast galaxy. A DOT! What are we in relation to that dot? I don't mean to bum you out but it's just how I was feeling after watching the series.
Here is a good link to feel the majestic universe.

Quote 7

AUGUST 28, 2016
"Nothing is ever lost. Nothing that cant be found." - Stephan King I guess this goes along the line that if it was meant to be with us, we wouldn't have lost it. And if we intend to find it, we just might.

When do you become an adult?

AUGUST 28, 2016
You know you hear people saying "Act like an adult." ...I wonder..When does one become an adult? Sure we all know the legal age...but you must have noticed how even "adults" love to remain a child at heart. Is it taking up of responsibility that classify s one as an adult? What if someone does the things they are responsible for and still has the personality of a child? Does that mean they are dis-functional? Many adults forsake all childish things and involve themselves in issues of society, economy, politics. Is that being an adult? or just personal interest? What of those who don't indulge or know of such things but contribute to the world in their own way? Who is to define it? Is it not okay if the person has it in a balance?

How full is your glass?

AUGUST 25, 2016
They say we as humans are not capable of learning anything new as long as we hold on to our past knowledge and lessons. ...because of our firm beliefs, we are not able to accept new thoughts and point of views. Hence, hindering progress of our-self's. I understand that people are not wrong in holding on to their beliefs. At least they stand for something... I've always found it difficult though, to get through to people like that....who come off as though they have the wisdom of the world. Personally I feel that our glass can never be full. No matter what we go through in life...there is always more to know, understand and learn. I wonder why some people are just not curious enough to explore. Have you ever met a head strong person who is difficult to communicate with?

Spontaneous

AUGUST 21, 2016
So my day started out with me knowing exactly how I was planning to spend it. Then I get a message from a friend asking if I want to meet up for coffee. She lives far and I didn't feel like traveling so I said I had plans. Then another friend contacted me in a few hours and asked if I could come with her to see houses that were open to rent in my area....she was closer so I agreed to met up. It's another thing that my lie to one friend of having plans turned out to be the truth later in the day...
But I realized something. My laziness is coming in between of my ability to be spontaneous. I have this NEED to be aware of the plan at least 24 hours before to actually be able to consider it! I actually had fun with the friend I hung out with....which made me realize that I could have with other friends too....had I gotten my butt off the chair and out the door. Do you struggle with spontaneity too?

Poetry

AUGUST 20, 2016
It was the night, When the moon had the light, Enough for me to write, About love at first sight, So intense, it gave me a fright.

Keeping Journals

AUGUST 20, 2016
I remember having kept a journal ( a diary ) since I was 13 years of age. Like a few hobbies that I have since then left.....this is one of the few that persevered. Sure..I don't write in everyday...it's only when I come across a moment in life where I think "I'd like to not forget this."...since I am very forgetful.

I've always noticed a feeling of relief...or satisfaction washing over me after I've written down what I needed to. Obviously that makes it one of my most prized and private possessions. For some reason I seldom come across someone who still write journals these days. Not one person in my group of friends does. But it is nice to be able to see our personal growth when we sit to read through all our old journals.

It feels like putting pen to paper is becoming rare with all the technology and apps available to us nowadays. This is a habit I don't think I'll get over.
