Game of Thrones Houses

Yes...i know...i might be a little late for a post on Game of Thrones. But i was watching the episodes of Season 6 again and was wondering...obviously this is for the people who follow GOT....if you had to pick, which house would you choose to be in? The options are in the picture, the only two that are missing and worth mentioning are; House Mormont, the one with the strong young girl. and if you would rather just leave all the houses and be in The Night's Watch? or move to Bravos? Be no one? Personally, I am all about the dragons..so it is House Tragaryen for me. Though if i had to choose another...I'd go with House Mormont.

Update: Season 7 was SO cool!! I still like the Tragaryens but I'd love to be Arya Stark.

Types of People on Facebook.

I have made a observation of the type of people I usually find online on Facebook. This is purely based on their online activity and nothing else. The Watchers – These are the people who are regularly online but never comment, like or share anything. There is no online activity coming from them except the fact that they are online. The Know-My-Life – These are the people who post everything that are happening in their lives as and when it happens. They share what they wear, what they eat, where they are and every thought that passes their minds. They have the same activities going on simultaneously on other social networking sites. The Sharers – These people are known to share things they watch online. They like it, they share it. The Only Friends – These are the people who only interact with a select group of friends. They might have hundreds of friends on their list, but they will interact with only 15-20 of them. The Never Online – This is the self explanatory type of person. They have an account but don’t have any time to invest into it. The Selfies – They differ slightly from The Know-My-Life’s, the only thing these people post are their own pictures, in different locations. The Travellers – These people seem to travel a lot and post pictures of only their travels. Do you know any such people in your friend circle? Can you think of any more types that you might have noticed? P.S- I think i fall under the "Only Friends" Group.

Why be rude?

It is obvious there are people here who have different point of views from each other. But when disagreeing with a point...is it necessary to put it in ways that might offend another? I do believe there are polite ways to state one's point. "It is their personality.", you might say. We all have a way and right to speak the way we please. Right? Sure. Everyone does. But since when does freedom of speech mean we also hold the right to hurt someone? When I see a person resorting to rude words, while trying to prove their point in and debate / discussion, I assume they are resorting to such behavior because they can no longer defend their point. So let's agitate the opponent so they will give in or give up. There is always option 3, walk away from the conversation when you find it turning unproductive....which I have noticed many wise people here opting for too. Maybe if we could all know kinder ways to communicate, find ways to be civil with each other...there might be MORE people initiating discussions where we can exercise our intellect along with the softer discussions that we already have and enjoy.

Having said that, I am aware that there are people in the world who are not capable of being polite.

What I learnt from Alice in Wonderland

Alice is Wonderland has been the kind of movie that i have always enjoyed watching. I love all the craziness and madness in it..and as a result...i have observed a few things that it conveys to me. Have Confidence, Believe in yourself and your abilities. The world doesn’t have to believe in you for you to be able to succeed. As long as you know what you are capable of, just work on it and the world will see it in due course of time. Have an Imagination; it is good practice to be able to think out of the box. It is possible it will lead you to solutions that no one else might have thought of. There is Always a Way, nothing is impossible. Just because other were not successful in a task, doesn’t mean you will fail too. It is Alright to Be Different from people. It is human nature to want to conform to society, but being different means you are capable of things they are not. There might be a reason for this difference. Try find it instead of hiding it. Learn from your Experiences, everyone experiences life differently. No two people experience the same things in the same way. Learn from yours, it will help you grow. It is alright to Change your mind, when you experience new things, you learn new things, it might contradict what you already know. If it does, and you now believe in something different, then go for it. Maybe you have learnt what you were supposed to and now there is a different path for you. Tea time, take time out for yourself and people you love. Don’t lose yourself in your goals and dreams and forget about the people who help get you there. Did i miss out on anything?

Why you shouldn't follow fashion.

I was briefly a part of this industry in the early twenties of my life. It seemed like the place to be…from the outside. I lived in a place where the industry seemed to be all about luxury and bling. ..in a place like Dubai, it attracts attention. But on entering it, I found a completely different world. I remember the atmosphere being frantic for no reason. I didn’t realize it then…but I could feel the uneasiness of it all. It was in the behavior of people, in their attitudes, in the way they would speak. It was …and still is, an ‘elitist’ society. You have to be like them to fit in. Models parading around with little or no respect for anyone else. Sure there are always exceptions, like 2 or 3 in a group of 30. The designers would treat their garments like they were made of diamonds. (Unfortunately I was one of them, the designers). The chaos backstage for the choreography, rehearsals, the number the models have to stand in, accessories, shoes, headgear's and music is all focused on ONE thing……Making it LOOK glamorous. I promise you, no part of this industry is worth the hype it gets. All of it is pointless, unnecessary, expensive and a lot of the time impractical. In the end of the day, it is just a piece of cloth. The Fashion Industry has no REAL contribution to the world. I only wish for more people to recognize it. It is the GARMENT industry that is necessary NOT the FASHION industry. There is a difference.
I personally feel good to be out of it. But even if I wish to help others, they seem to have latched on to the whole act so hard that they can't let go. Like they say in the Matrix movie, they are too dependent on the system to be unplugged.

Have you noticed?

Have you noticed the ' lol ' acronym looks like someone is drowning...?
Some people have also pointed out to me that it also looks like :
- Someone cheering in a crowd.
- Someone praising god.
- Someone surrendering.

But it always looks like drowning to me... is that too dark? eeek!

Escape Room

Have you guys heard of it ? or tried one out? Escape Room is a mystery game that people pay to participate in. It is a actual room that is set up as a dungeon or a crime scene. People enter the room in groups. The room has clues hidden around in it and to be able to escape the room you have to solve the puzzles using the clues you find. It is sometimes used as a team building exercise. I have only ever heard of ones that last for 1 or 2 hours. This concept seems to gaining popularity as a recreational game for adults to play.

Should injustice be answered with justice or mercy?

Injustice can occur in many forms nowadays. It ranges from the extreme cases of victims of murder, assault and rape, to the cases of theft and biases. I assume those who go by law might chose to fix this by justice and those with faith and belief (in the good of people) might chose to deal with the problem with mercy. They say mercy is taking the "higher road"....but how many of us are actually capable of it? As much as I would like to think I am capable of mercy, when I feel like I am being treated unjustly, all I want to do and work towards, is getting my share of justice. I'm sure we all face unforgiving moments in life. Maybe such moments define us...as a person. When it comes down to it...when we are the ones to decide and face the consequences of that decision. What do we chose?

36 Questions that make you fall in love?

Have you guys come across this article? It is over a year old ...so chances are you might have. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/11/fashion/no-37-big-wedding-or-small.html It is a series of 36 questions that claim to make the two people involved in it fall in love with each other. They ask the questions to each other and apparently that would build something between them. I don't think this could work on me. Though I would like to give it a try for experiment purposes. Have you seen the questions? Would this work on you? Finding love in answers?

Blue Dot in the Sky

AUGUST 31, 2016
I was watching the Cosmos series again and got the feeling I get every time I watch something like this. Cosmos is a science documentary series. It talks about evolution, light, atoms, elements, atmosphere and other worlds. Every time I see it, I am amazed at how much it took to make the worlds and at the same time...it's vastness makes me feel quite insignificant. We are like tinier than atoms when we see our-selfs in relation to the whole galaxy. The planet Earth is just a blue dot in the sky when we zoom out into the vast galaxy. A DOT! What are we in relation to that dot? I don't mean to bum you out but it's just how I was feeling after watching the series.
Here is a good link to feel the majestic universe.

Prof. P.N Oak's had done a extensive research on the Taj Mahal decades ago and had found evidence that it was never a Tomb. He found ...
